Mars 15 Year Single Cask #904

Matured for 15 years in American oak casks this single malt whisky from Mars was bottled at 43% Abv in a 500ml format. The Mars Shinshu distillery started in 1985 after acquiring the stills from the closed Yamanashi distillery. The site was closed in 1992 amid the Japanese economic crash and only began producing again in 2011. Pre-closure vintages from Mars are particularly sought after with a number of releases from this era winning considerable awards in competitions.
