Valdespino Pre-1962 Solera Cuban Rum

A 1940s era Cuban rum that was produced pre-Fidel Castro's nationalisation of the Cuban rum industry. These casks were transported to Spain and stored in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. This rum solera has been drawn a number of times for release by the Valdespino family, with a large chunk of the allocation provided for the Japanese market.

Although no producer is declared, this Cuban rum was likely produced on a column still from molasses before being transported to Europe for continental aging.
