Your bar is now searchable. And two other things you asked for.
Search your whole collection, browse the marketplace without leaving the app, and rate any bottle you own. Three years of requests, one release.

- You know you own the bottle.
Ask anyone with a few hundred bottles what irritates them most about collection apps and you will get the same answer. You know you own the bottle. You bought it, you logged it, you could point roughly at the shelf. But the app hands you a list, the list is long, and finding one thing in it means scrolling with your thumb while whoever you are pouring for waits.
You have been telling us about this for years. Support tickets, DMs, survey boxes, replies to emails that were about something else entirely. Let me search my collection. For a long time the app and the rest of BAXUS ran on separate foundations, which made that a far bigger job than it looked from the outside.
The app has since moved onto the same platform as everything else, and this is the first release to show for it. It is a big one.
In this release
01 · Search your collection. My Bar, My Vault and your Wishlist, with the same filters you use on Search.
02 · The marketplace, in the app. Every bottle for sale on BAXUS, right there in the app.
03 · Rate what you own. Stars and a review on any bottle in your Bar.
What changed
Search your collection. A search field in the header of My Bar and My Vault, with recent searches waiting for you when you focus it.
The same filters, everywhere. The set you already use on Bottle Search now runs on your collection and your Wishlist too.
Filters that hold. Set them, search on top of them, switch tabs, come back. It all stays where you put it.
Rate any bottle on your Bar. No fill-level requirement. Scores roll up into an aggregate rating on the release page.
The marketplace, in your pocket. Browse everything for sale with the same cards, filters and sorting as the rest of the app.
One card everywhere. Search, Wishlist, My Bar, My Vault and the marketplace all share a mini-card, with the price field swapped to suit the surface.
Search, filter and sort your collection
Tap the search icon in the header of My Bar or My Vault and start typing. Search scope follows whichever tab you are on and you can flip it without leaving the field. Recent searches sit underneath, so last night's bottle is one tap away.
The filter drawer is where a big collection stops being unwieldy. Spirit Type, Brand, ABV, Region, Vintage, Market Price, MSRP, Size, Producer, with multi-select where it makes sense. Filters and sort stay applied on top of a search, which matters more than it sounds once you are three taps deep.

Two smaller additions are worth calling out. There is now a red dot on the filter icon whenever anything is applied, so you can tell at a glance why you are only seeing eleven bottles. And a row of chips sits above your results showing every active filter, each with a tap-to-clear X. Removing a single filter used to mean opening the drawer, finding the thing you set and unsetting it. Now it is one tap.
The same drawer runs on Bottle Search, so the whole catalog is filterable the same way your own shelf is.
The marketplace is in the app
The Marketplace tab used to be a Coming Soon screen with a button that pushed you out to a browser. It now holds every bottle currently for sale on BAXUS.
Asking Price is the number on the front of the card with Market Price underneath, so you can weigh up a listing without doing sums. Recent Asks sit at the very top, so you can open the tab and see what has just come up without touching a thing. That is the one worth checking with your morning coffee.
Tags carry through here too. A bottle you already own shows a MY BAR tag, one on your Wishlist shows a WISHLIST tag, so you will spot a bottle you have been chasing the day it goes up. Tap through and you finish the purchase on the web, which is where checkout still lives for now.

Rate what you own
Nearly every whiskey score you read was written by somebody who got the bottle for free. Ratings on BAXUS work the other way round. You rate what you own.
When we first built this you had to open the bottle before you could rate it. Made a certain kind of sense, until you pointed out that it is not really how tasting works. Half the drams you have tried came out of somebody else's bottle, at a bar, at a festival, in a friend's kitchen at midnight. And plenty of what is on your shelf is never getting opened at all. So we took the gate off. Rating and review fields now sit on every bottle in your Bar whatever the fill level, and you can score one in the same step as adding or editing it.
Open any bottle on your Bar. Or start from the add and edit flow. Sealed, opened and empty bottles all take a rating.
Give it stars and a few words. Got three of the same release? Your contribution is the average of your own ratings, so you count as one voice however deep your stock goes.
It joins the aggregate. The release picks up an aggregate rating visible to every collector on its Bottle Details page.

One ask
Go and rate your first five bottles. It takes less than two minutes and it is the single most useful thing you can do for everyone else on BAXUS right now. Every score you add makes the rating on that bottle worth reading, so the next person in the community who looks it up gets a real number, from people who actually own the bottle.
The smaller things
Bottle Details got cleaner. Brand and product name fold into a single title line, with the metadata block underneath in a shape you can actually read: ABV, size, region, vintage, producer, MSRP, market value. The aggregate rating gets its own slot. The hero image has an explicit expand button, so you no longer have to guess whether tapping it does anything.
Wishlist picked up a few things. Want Price is now the primary price on a wishlist card, with a tap to flip back to MSRP. There is a More menu on every card for changing your want price or removing the bottle, and a new In My Collection filter. Wishlist cards also flag bottles already in your Bar, which saves you wishlisting something already sitting on your shelf.
Hide Prices got better. If you keep the setting on, tapping a hidden price now reveals Market Price first rather than MSRP, and there is an inline Unhide button so you are not hunting through Settings to turn it back off.
Four things to try first
Go price hunting in your own house. Find the dustiest bottle on the shelf, the one you had half forgotten you owned, and look up what it is worth today. You never know.
Have a proper look at the marketplace. Everything currently for sale is browsable in the app now. Worth a scroll whether you are buying, selling, or just being nosy about prices.
Switch on Hide Prices in Settings. Ideally before your other half next glances over your shoulder while you are scrolling.
Put a Want Price on your top wishlist bottles. We are out chasing down the most wishlisted bottles on the platform, so keep an eye on what turns up.
Where this goes next
Worth being clear about scope. This release is the BAXUS app on iOS and Android. The web app has not changed yet. Web parity is on the roadmap and we will shout about it the day it is live.
Clearing this much backlog in one release is what happens once the app stops being its own island. There is plenty left in that backlog, and nearly all of it arrived the same way this release did: from you.
Thank you for that. You keep driving us forward, and the feature requests you send are far and away the best steer we get. Keep them coming, at info@baxus.co or just by replying to one of our emails.
